    • @foreverfoodforest

You can skip dehydrating and go straight to making Jadam Liquid Fertilizer with them. The molasses method doesn't work with flowers as they don't have enough liquid to extract via osmosis.

The good health of my pepper plants did not deter the 6 tomato hornworms that devoured almost 90% of 5 big healthy plants (habanero, red habanero, piquin, 2 ghosts and a reaper). BYT, the stress of defoliation caused them all to rebound into better plants than before ! Fruiting like crazy. Picked 1st hab today. Defoliation works on Japanese maple bonsai, as well. Thanks!!!

This is great! We're also in Florida and my wife has spent quite a bit of time and effort trying to grow tomatoes on our sandy sandy soil. Needless to say, it goes ok sometimes or nothing. Hearing about this nutrient rich solution we can make at home is just great. We've started working on our soil, but this little tid bit should put us in much better shape than we have been so far.

Great Question! They're a resilient weed and depending where you live, you can forage for them in nature. They usually grow in the shade along stream banks and other wet environments. In Florida, they're a little harder to find in the wild so I grew my own from seed and cuttings.

I'm in NW Florida, previous owner of our home planted Fig and Loquat trees. The figs are always awesome when they get rip and we have to race to get to them before the birds eat them all. The loquats are so good when we do get them but the past two seasons they haven't had as much fruit. The fig and Loquat trees also do much better in our cold snaps we get, unlike the Lemon and peach trees we've lost due to a ice storm a few years back.

Cute video. One thing... In NE FL we have ALKALINE soil, not even close to acidic. 5.,000 years ago, Florida was under the sea. Sea water ph is 8.0. The "soil" ph is about 7.3 in our area. Did you misspeak? It is a constant battle to get the soil ph to 6-6.5 here using vinegar, wood chips, pine bark and elemental sulfur. My 5 citrus trees are doing much better now that we figured out that they like acidic soil.
